What to Expect
If it’s your first time, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early. That will give you enough time to park, get comfortable, and find a seat before the service begins. Sunday School begins at 10am and worship celebration starts at 11am on Sunday mornings
(If you have children, we recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early in order to see where they’ll be cared for while you’re in the service and meet their teacher).
- Sunday School meets from 10:00am – 10:50am.
- Worship Service every Sunday morning @ 11:00am (our Sunday services last about 65-90 minutes).
- Children’s Church Kids Service – same time as our Sunday Worship service.
- Nursery & PreSchool Classes are available during the Sunday School and Sunday Worship service.
Penny Road welcomes everyone just as they are. Some people dress up and others dress very casually. We encourage you to come dressed in the way that you feel most comfortable.
We believe music plays a significant role in our time of worship and believe it can make a huge impact on our hearts and in our lives! During our service, you ‘ll see that our worship is a good mix of today’s contemporary songs and the traditional hymns the church has always known. Don’t worry, you don’t have to sing, but if you want to we provide the lyrics on our front screens with which to follow along. This portion of the service lasts about 20-30 minutes.
The messages are relevant, sincere, and applicable to life today. Whether you’re a Christ-follower or not, we guarantee that you’ll walk away with some helpful information and a deeper insight into God’s Word. We also provide you with a bulletin for the service, so you know where we are. If you need paper and/or a pen to keep notes, please ask one of our friendly ushers.
As part of our weekly service, we do take up an offering. If you are a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives and to give back to help continue the work of the church.
If you have children, they’ll LOVE our kids’ ministry environments. As a church, we’ve put a lot of energy into making church fun, entertaining, and educational for kids of all ages – from newborn through 5th grade. They have their own music, games, skits, and object lessons that happen all while you’re off enjoying “big church” as they call it. One of our core values is to invest the best in the next generation, so we care deeply about our kids’ environments.
We understand how precious your children are and we take great care to make sure that they are safe at all times. Every environment is supervised by several qualified volunteers who have submitted to background checks and been cleared by our staff.
As a guest, you will be encouraged to fill out a quick info sheet at the Guest Service Desk located in the front church lobby on your way in or out. This helps us to stay in communication with you and lets you know about all of the exciting things happening at Penny Road Church throughout the year.
